My Running Essentials
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting, having the right gear can make all the difference. Here are my must-have running essentials:
Comfortable Running Shoes - The foundation of any great run! I always make sure to pick a pair that provides support and cushioning for long-distance comfort and rotate between two styles.
Moisture-Wicking Clothes - Staying dry is key, especially on hot or humid days. Look for fabrics that pull sweat away from your skin and keep you cool. I prefer to run in shorts for all seasons!
Hydration Gear - Water is crucial! I always carry a water bottle or wear a hydration pack, that is for both long runs AND short runs. No shame in the water game!
Running Watch/Tracker - Tracking your distance, time, and pace helps stay on track and reach goals. Find one that works best for your style of running: gps signal, battery life, etc
Headphones - For those who love a good playlist or podcast, invest in a pair of wireless bone conduction headphones.. Shokz is my go-to!
Sunglasses and/or Hats - Protect your eyes from the sun and bring both on those runs!
